Bringing seniors together with joy and dignity.
The name means exactly what it says. Seniors United unites seniors through friendship, meaningful gatherings, helpful resources, and real community.
About Seniors United
Seniors United is a nonprofit founded on creating spaces where seniors can talk about remember when, hear music from their generation, meet new friends, enjoy themed events, and keep making memories. Our mission is to make sure every senior feels valued, protected, respected, and connected.
About Sam Spencer

Seniors United was founded by Sam Spencer, a proud member of the Sumter, South Carolina community. Sam had a simple vision: make sure seniors feel seen, celebrated, and connected. What started as a passion project has grown into something truly special.
Sam, originally from New York City, grew up surrounded by community service, strong elders, and family wisdom. His father worked as a campaign manager in New York City and taught him that community leaders should serve the people, especially seniors.
Sam's grandparents and elders in his family also shaped his love for seniors through their honesty, humor, stories, and deep influence in the community. He remembers elders who carried wisdom, old sayings, laughter, and strength. He also remembers seeing seniors who needed companionship, conversation, and care. Those experiences became the foundation for Seniors United.
Sam's heart is to make sure seniors are not forgotten, neglected, abused, scammed, or left without joy. He wants seniors to live peacefully, happily, and with dignity. His message is simple: do not mess with our seniors. Let them live, laugh, connect, and enjoy the life they still have.
"I want seniors to have something to look forward to. I want them to meet new friends, remember old times, and create new memories."
